1. Event Overview
CoinByte provides deposit rewards to eligible users who successfully opt in. Eligible assets already held at the time of opt-in, together with eligible net deposits credited after opt-in and before the deposit deadline, may both be included in the campaign amount.
At the end of the campaign, CoinByte will calculate the total one-off AUD reward based on the tier applicable to the locked reward base. The reward will then be distributed over 26 periods of 14 days each and converted into BTC for distribution based on the BTC/AUD reference price at the time of each actual distribution.
This campaign reward is not interest, an annualised return, investment return, or a guarantee of principal. Up to 10% is the maximum reward rate and does not mean that all users will receive 10%.
2. Campaign Period and Cycles
The following specific times are subject to the final information published on the campaign page:
Campaign start time: [To be completed].
Opt-in and eligible deposit deadline: [To be completed]; unless otherwise specified, the deadline is 23:59:59 Sydney local time.
Campaign time zone: Australia/Sydney (Sydney local time).
Start time of the first period: 00:00 on the first day after the deposit deadline.
Distribution cycles: Each complete cycle consists of 14 calendar days, for a total of 26 periods.
Scheduled distribution time: 18:00 on the end date of each period, subject to the calendar published on the campaign page.
CoinByte will display the complete campaign schedule and distribution calendar before users opt in. During daylight saving time, cycle boundaries will be determined according to Sydney local time and the local calendar date.
3. Eligibility and Opt-In
The campaign is open to users who satisfy all of the following conditions:
Are existing or new CoinByte users;
Hold a verified CoinByte primary account;
Are residents aged 18 or above;
Have successfully completed CoinByte’s identity verification (KYC) requirements;
Have read these rules during the campaign window and successfully clicked Opt in;
Satisfy the regional, account, asset, and other requirements specified on the campaign page.
This campaign is provided by BYTEATLAS PTY LTD (ABN 54 637 345 290). CoinByte reserves the right to verify user eligibility, source of funds, account activity, and campaign records during and after the campaign period.
Merely viewing the campaign page, receiving a campaign notification, having an existing account balance, or completing a deposit does not replace successful opt-in. Whether opt-in has been successful will be determined by the successful Opt in status displayed in the CoinByte system.
In principle, each user may participate in each campaign version using only one primary account. Assets held in sub-accounts, accounts not included in the campaign, and other excluded accounts will not be combined with the primary account for calculation purposes.
4. Eligible Assets and Deposit Methods
4.1 Eligible Asset Scope
The eligible asset scope currently proposed is as follows:
Supports deposits;
Has a reliable AUD reference price;
Is included in CoinByte’s published list of eligible currencies and networks;
Is held in an account type specified as eligible on the campaign page.
Assets that are tradable but do not support deposits, or that do not have a reliable AUD price, will not automatically qualify as eligible assets.
CoinByte will publish the specific list of eligible currencies and networks before opt-in opens. If the scope of currencies or products changes, CoinByte will notify users before they take action.
The eligibility treatment of low-liquidity tokens, wrapped tokens, staking certificates, suspended-deposit assets, or delisted assets will be subject to the specific arrangements published by CoinByte.
4.2 Assets Already Held at the Time of Opt-In
Eligible assets that are included in the eligible asset list and held in eligible accounts, that have been settled and belong to the user at the time of successful opt-in, may be valued in AUD using CoinByte’s reference price at the time of successful Opt in, thereby forming a one-off “initial eligible amount at opt-in.”
Users do not need to withdraw existing funds and deposit them again. The opt-in snapshot is performed only once and will not increase repeatedly due to subsequent price increases.
The following funds will not be included in the initial eligible amount at opt-in:
Funds that have not yet been credited;
Assets not included in the eligible asset list;
Assets held in external wallets or accounts not included in the campaign scope;
Borrowed funds, funds corresponding to liabilities, or funds that do not yet belong to the user;
Platform grants and campaign rewards provided after opt-in.
Other reward assets that genuinely belonged to the user before opt-in and fall within the eligible scope may be included based on the balance and reference price at the time of opt-in. However, the same asset will not be snapshotted more than once as a result of the same opt-in.
Deposit Methods
Deposit method | Inclusion rule |
Bank transfer | The net amount credited through a bank channel applicable to the user. |
Card deposit | Only the value of the assets ultimately credited will be included; channel fees will not be included in the campaign amount. |
Apple Pay / Google Pay | Only the value of the funds or assets successfully credited will be included; the same payment may not be counted more than once. |
External cryptocurrency deposit | A successful deposit using an eligible currency and network from an external source, converted into AUD using the reference price at the time the deposit is credited. |
Deposits that fail, are declined, refunded, or are not successfully credited will not be included in the campaign amount. If a deposit that has already been included is subsequently refunded or reversed, CoinByte will reverse it based on the AUD value of the original deposit event.
Internal transfers between accounts held by the user at CoinByte will not increase the campaign amount. Movement of funds between accounts included within the campaign scope will not be treated as an outgoing transfer deduction. Transfers to another user, an external wallet, or an account outside the campaign scope will be treated as an applicable withdrawal or outgoing transfer. Funds transferred back will not automatically be treated as a new external deposit unless determined to qualify under these rules.
5. AUD Valuation and Campaign Amount
Current campaign amount = initial eligible amount at opt-in + valid net deposits after opt-in − applicable withdrawals or outgoing transfers
Assets already held at opt-in: valued using the reference price at the time of successful Opt in;
New deposits: valued using the reference price at the time the deposit is successfully credited;
Withdrawals or outgoing transfers: valued using the reference price at the time the withdrawal is accepted and the amount is frozen or deducted;
Non-direct AUD pairs: converted using CoinByte’s unified cross-conversion methodology;
Assets without a reliable price: excluded or subject to pending processing;
AUD accounting: processed according to the precision published on the campaign page, currently proposed to retain two decimal places.
The campaign amount will not be automatically revalued based on the market value of holdings, market movements, purchases or sales, asset conversions, trading profits, or trading losses. Only applicable withdrawals or outgoing transfers will reduce the campaign amount.
6. Locked Base and Reward Rates
At the deposit deadline, CoinByte will cap the current campaign amount and determine the locked reward base:
Locked reward base = min(campaign amount at the deadline, AUD 100,000)
The reward will be calculated on the entire amount, with the same tier rate applying to the entire locked reward base. A progressive or marginal tier calculation will not be used.
Status / Tier | Locked reward base | Reward rate |
Not eligible | Below AUD 100 | 0%; no reward plan will be established |
Tier 1 | AUD 100 to below AUD 1,000 | 5% |
Tier 2 | AUD 1,000 to below AUD 5,000 | 6% |
Tier 3 | AUD 5,000 to below AUD 10,000 | 7% |
Tier 4 | AUD 10,000 to below AUD 25,000 | 8% |
Tier 5 | AUD 25,000 to below AUD 50,000 | 9% |
Tier 6 | AUD 50,000 to AUD 100,000 | 10% |
Total AUD reward = locked reward base × applicable tier rate
Examples: An amount of AUD 3,500 will receive an AUD 210 equivalent BTC reward at 6%; an amount of AUD 20,000 will receive an AUD 1,600 equivalent BTC reward at 8%; and an amount of AUD 80,000 will receive an AUD 8,000 equivalent BTC reward at 10%.
For each user, rewards will be calculated on a maximum of AUD 100,000. The current maximum total reward is AUD 10,000 equivalent in BTC. Funds added after the deadline will not increase the locked base, applicable rate, or total reward already determined. They may only be used to maintain eligibility or create a buffer. If the amount is below AUD 100 at the deadline, subsequently added funds cannot retroactively establish a reward plan for this campaign.
7. Maintenance Requirements and Periodic Distribution
The current maintenance base is equal to the locked reward base. During each 14-day period, the campaign amount must remain no less than the maintenance base at all times from the beginning of the period until its end. An amount exactly equal to the base is also considered compliant.
If the amount falls below the maintenance base at any time during a period, the entire reward for that period will not be distributed and will not be calculated based on the remaining amount. Replenishing the amount afterward cannot restore that period. Each subsequent period must independently satisfy the maintenance requirement for its entire duration. Cancelled periods will not be paid later, carried forward, rescheduled, or moved to the final payment.
The total AUD reward will be divided into 26 periods in advance. The sum of all periods will equal the total reward, with the difference between periods being no more than AUD 0.01. Any remainder will be allocated to the earlier periods first. Each period will be converted based on the BTC/AUD reference price at the actual time of distribution:
BTC amount for the period = AUD allocation for the period ÷ BTC/AUD reference price at the time of distribution
BTC is currently proposed to be recorded to 8 decimal places. Rewards will be automatically distributed to the CoinByte primary account. Rounding differences caused by the minimum BTC unit will not result in a recalculation of the AUD allocation. Amounts below the minimum distribution unit may be accumulated for later payment. Rewards will not be included in the campaign amount and will not generate compound returns.
A distribution delay will not extend the maintenance obligation for a period that has already ended. After the end of the final period, the maintenance obligation will terminate. However, rewards that have been earned but not yet credited must still be paid.
8. Withdrawals, Buffer, and Exit
Withdrawals will only reduce the current campaign amount and will not recalculate the locked reward base or applicable rate already determined. Withdrawing BTC rewards that have already been distributed may also reduce the campaign amount. Under the current rules, there is no specific withdrawal exemption for rewards.
The amount exceeding the locked base may form a buffer:
Campaign valuation buffer = max(current campaign amount − maintenance base, 0)
The buffer does not guarantee that the account has sufficient assets available for withdrawal. Trading losses, asset prices, and other account factors may still affect the amount available for withdrawal. Users may voluntarily exit. A normal exit will only affect rewards that have not yet been earned and will not result in the recovery of rewards previously earned normally, except in cases of violations or reversed funds.
9. Reward Pool and First-Come, First-Served
The total reward pool for this campaign is AUD 100,000. Reward eligibility will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis according to the timestamp of successful opt-in, until the reward pool is exhausted.
When the remaining reward pool is insufficient to support the full reward eligibility of the next user, CoinByte will stop accepting new opt-ins and notify users that the reward pool is full. Users who have already obtained reward eligibility will not have the rules applicable at the time of their opt-in or their locked reward retrospectively changed solely because the reward pool is subsequently exhausted.
10. Platform Rules and General Legal Terms
These rules should be read and applied together with the CoinByte Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, KYC/AML requirements, risk disclosures, account rules, and applicable product rules.
Accounts and information. Users must maintain a CoinByte primary account in good standing, comply with the Terms of Service, identity verification, trading, deposit, and withdrawal requirements, and provide information that is true, complete, accurate, and continuously valid.
Funds and records. Only funds that comply with these rules will be included in the campaign. Internal transfers, unsupported sources of funds, failed or reversed payments, and funds obtained through other campaigns, coupons, or rewards will not automatically qualify as eligible deposits. CoinByte will calculate the campaign amount and rewards based on its internal ledger, event timestamps, and applicable reference prices. Confirmed system or processing errors may be corrected in accordance with applicable procedures.
Account operations and fees. Transfers to other users, other platforms, external wallets, or accounts or products outside the campaign scope may be treated as withdrawals under these rules. The same payment, deposit, transfer, or asset may not be counted more than once. Any taxes, reporting obligations, and other fees arising from participating in, receiving, holding, transferring, or disposing of rewards will be the user’s responsibility. Participation eligibility and rewards may not be transferred unless expressly permitted by CoinByte.
No advice and digital asset risks. This campaign is a promotional offer only and does not constitute financial, investment, accounting, tax, or legal advice, nor does it constitute a recommendation to purchase, sell, or hold digital assets. Digital asset prices may fluctuate significantly, and the AUD value of BTC rewards may increase or decrease. CoinByte does not guarantee future prices, returns, profits, liquidity, or a fixed AUD value.
Service interruptions and rule adjustments. Due to technical issues, maintenance, network congestion, security or compliance requirements, anti-fraud measures, operational limitations, or other reasonable reasons, CoinByte may delay, suspend, or restrict the relevant services and crediting of rewards, and will provide notice where practicable. CoinByte may prospectively modify, suspend, or terminate campaign versions that have not yet started or for which users have not yet opted in. Users who have already opted in will, in principle, continue to be subject to the version of the rules applicable at the time of opt-in, except for legally permitted corrections, compliance measures, or other exceptional arrangements. A distribution delay will not extend the maintenance obligation for a period that has already ended.
Consumer rights and order of precedence. These rules do not exclude any consumer rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under applicable law. If there is any conflict between the documents, unless otherwise mandatorily required by law, the order of precedence will be: applicable law and non-excludable consumer rights; the CoinByte Terms of Service and account or product terms; these rules; the parameters on the relevant campaign page; and general promotional copy.
Specific prohibited conduct, including fraud, abuse, sanctions violations, false information, automated manipulation, wash trading, or circular funding, as well as eligibility cancellation, cancellation of unpaid rewards, and recovery of distributed rewards, will be governed by the provisions of the “Abnormal Conduct and Eligibility Cancellation” section of these rules.
11. Applicable Rules and FAQ
The campaign times, reward pool, eligible asset and network list, account scope, reference prices, and distribution calendar displayed on the campaign page at the time of opt-in all form part of these rules.
The FAQ is provided only to explain common questions and does not replace these rules. If there is any inconsistency between the FAQ, promotional materials, and these rules or the campaign page parameters, the version of these rules and the campaign page applicable at the time the user opted in will prevail.
